H8BAITfishing.com was founded by Dominick Barone, a lifelong angler whose passion for fishing began at just six years old. From an early age, Dominick was captivated by everything the sport had to offer, and that passion quickly evolved into crafting his own custom jigheads and soft plastic baits as a teenager.

Determined to build lures that outperformed the rest, Dominick invested in professional equipment—including lead molds, melting pots, powder coatings, and curing ovens—to produce durable, high-performance jigheads. But he didn't stop there.

Growing up, Dominick spent countless hours working alongside his father restoring classic cars and Corvettes. That hands-on experience introduced him to the world of automotive powder coating, where quality, durability, and attention to detail are essential. Drawing from those skills, he developed his own premium powder-coating process specifically for fishing lures, using the same high-quality standards he perfected while coating automotive parts and wheels.

Over the years, Dominick has fished an incredible variety of waters across the United States and beyond, including freshwater and saltwater fisheries in Florida, North Carolina, New York, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, California, Louisiana, Georgia, Michigan, Illinois, Mississippi, Utah, Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Canada, and even the waters of Mexico.
